Usable again after water damage – further work planned
The funeral chapel at the Gräfenhausen-Schneppenhausen cemetery has reopened after water damage. According to the city of Weiterstadt, funeral services can now be held there again.
Interior restored
The interior of the funeral hall was repaired after the closure. However, the facility does not yet visually reflect its final state.
The open roof truss will remain in its current form and will shape the appearance of the funeral hall in the future.
Further renovation measures are planned
Mayor Niklas Gehnich emphasizes that the repair of the damage was carried out with high priority in order to relieve relatives in an already stressful situation.
At the same time, the city announces further renovation measures. Information about the next steps will be provided in due course.
