Musical theatre with 16 children at the Moller House Theatre
What if we could fly? Where would we fly to and what would the world look like from the air? The children's ensemble of Theater Transit explores these questions in their musical theatre piece "Dream of Flying".
In this production, 16 children embark on a research journey to dizzying heights and strange worlds. Together, the young performers create wings and flying objects and explore different stories about flying.
On their journey, they encounter, among others, Icarus, the Valkyries, and the aviation pioneers Elly Beinhorn and Charles Lindbergh. Rhythm, sounds, and songs accompany the ensemble through the adventure.
Most of the children's ensemble members have been with Theater Transit for several years. Under the direction of Max Petermann and Volker Ell, they are developing a story about taking off, floating away, and viewing the world from a distance.
