The focus was on interactive activities for children and alcohol-free sports – training continues during the autumn holidays
The karate division of TV 1893 Seeheim participated in three nationwide and European sports and prevention initiatives in September. The participatory events on September 25th and 28th, 2026, focused on exercise, self-confidence, and responsible alcohol consumption. The club also offers its regular karate training in Seeheim-Jugenheim during the autumn school holidays.
The karate department supports three initiatives
As part of the European Week of Sport, the department participated in the #BeActive campaign. Under the motto "Movement connects!", the aim is to motivate people to be more physically active, regardless of whether they are a member of a sports club.
With the "Making Children Strong" initiative of the Federal Centre for Health Education (BZgA), the association focused on the personal development of children. In addition to athletic skills, the aim was to promote self-confidence, courage and team spirit, and to encourage children to stand up for themselves.
The third event was themed "Enjoying sport alcohol-free." With this, the karate department set an example for the responsible use of alcohol and a shared sporting experience without alcoholic beverages.
The participatory activities took place as part of the children's training and, according to the club, were very well received.
Karate training also during the autumn holidays
The karate division of TV Seeheim will continue its training sessions without interruption throughout the entire autumn break. Training takes place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 5 pm in the auditorium of the Bergstraße school complex.
The program includes katas, karate techniques, and fitness exercises. Weather permitting, outdoor training sessions are also planned. Participants should therefore bring trainers in addition to their karate uniform.
This offer is expressly aimed at newcomers and those interested in learning about karate. Joining the training is also possible outside of the scheduled event days.
