Free information session promotes road safety
How do you ride an e-scooter safely, and what risks are there in road traffic? The police will answer these questions at a free information session on Monday, October 26, 2026, in Nauheim. From 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., young people, parents, and other interested parties can learn more at the Atrium and try out safe riding techniques.
The campaign is prompted by the high number of e-scooter accidents. Last year, police across Germany recorded more than 16,000 e-scooter accidents resulting in personal injury. 38 people lost their lives. According to the organizers, young people in particular, but also adults, are often insufficiently aware of the risks involved in road traffic.
E-scooter course for testing
At the event, the police will give tips on accident prevention and safe behavior in road traffic. In addition, an e-scooter course will be set up where visitors can gain practical experience.
Anyone who owns their own e-scooter can bring it to the event. Registration is not required, and participation is free.
