Award recognizes support for volunteer work in fire and disaster protection
ENTEGA AG has been awarded the Hessian Employer Award 2026. With this award, the state of Hesse recognizes companies that provide exceptional support to their employees in their voluntary work in fire and disaster protection.
The award is presented by the Hessian Ministry of the Interior, for Security and Homeland Security. The recipients were selected by the State Advisory Board for Fire Protection, General Assistance and Disaster Relief of the State of Hesse.
The award ceremony took place as part of "Volunteer Day" at the Hessenpark Open-Air Museum in Neu-Anspach. Jürgen Grund, General Manager of Human Resources, accepted the award on behalf of ENTEGA.
Leave of absence for deployments and support of voluntary work
The Employer Award recognizes companies that release emergency personnel for their voluntary work and thus make an important contribution to fire and disaster protection.
“Volunteering in fire and disaster protection is a central pillar of our society,” emphasizes Jürgen Grund. Many ENTEGA employees volunteer for the safety of others. “Supporting them and granting them leave for deployments is an expression of our commitment to responsibility.”
The company also sees the award as an incentive to further strengthen this commitment.
Employee nominated ENTEGA for award
The nomination was initiated by the company's own staff. ENTEGA employee Arnim Schmidt from the automotive department, who is also an active member of the fire brigade, nominated his employer for the award.
With the employer award, the state aims to highlight companies that enable their employees to perform voluntary work and thereby support the operational capability of Hesse's fire and disaster protection services.
