Support through employee sponsorship – project for an inpatient hospice in the district
As the company ENTEGA announces, the green energy and telecommunications provider is supporting the Groß-Gerau Hospice Foundation with a donation of €1,500. The funding is provided as part of ENTEGA's employee sponsorship program, in which employees can propose social, cultural, or environmental projects from the region.
The project was submitted by ENTEGA employee Ellen Berger , who is advocating for the planned construction of an inpatient hospice with a day hospice in the Groß-Gerau district. "A hospice is an important institution in an increasingly aging society. Unfortunately, not everyone can provide palliative care for their relatives at home," Berger explains.
Hospice foundation with an important social mission
The Groß-Gerau Hospice Foundation was June 2021. by the Darmstadt Regional Council recognized as a legally constituted foundation under civil law dignified and individualized care . The planned hospice will serve as an interface between nursing, medicine, and family – offering nursing, medical, psychosocial, and spiritual support. Family members will be able to be present at all times.

has ENTEGA's employee sponsorship program been running since 2003.Employees can submit projects worthy of support in the areas of social welfare, culture, the environment, and sports . Colleagues then vote on the proposals via the intranet. The winning projects each receive €1,500.
To date, 84 projects participated 400 employeesfrom 42 proposals choosing their favorites
ENTEGA's Chief Human Resources Officer, Andreas Niedermaier, emphasized: "We are very happy to support the ideas of our colleagues within the framework of employee sponsorship. It shows how deeply ENTEGA and its workforce are rooted in the region."
