More effective vegetation fire fighting thanks to modern equipment
The Griesheim volunteer fire department has expanded its equipment for fighting vegetation fires: Thanks to a donation from the Simon building maintenance service, four new fire backpacks were put into service in January. This equipment will help to combat forest and brush fires even more efficiently in the future.
The new fire extinguishing backpacks each hold 20 liters of water and can be worn ergonomically on the back. This allows emergency responders to deliver water directly to the source of fires and fight fires more effectively, especially in difficult terrain.
The Griesheim Fire Department extends its sincere thanks for the generous donation and valuable support. This investment in modern firefighting technology not only improves the fire department's operational capabilities but also contributes to the protection of people and the environment.
