Darmstadt continue to prioritize continuity on the coaching bench
SV Darmstadt 98 and head coach Florian Kohfeldt will continue their collaboration. The 43-year-old has extended his contract with the Lilies.
Fernie praises the team's development
Managing Director of Sport Paul Fernie particularly highlights the sporting development under Kohfeldt: “Since his appointment, Flo has ensured that our team stands for a clear playing idea and that many players have been able to take a big step forward.”
Fernie also emphasized the close communication between the coaching staff, the board of directors, and the sporting management. Together, they have already initiated numerous changes within the club.
Kohfeldt sees positive development
Kohfeldt also looks back on his time in Darmstadt with satisfaction: "I look back very positively on my time in office so far and the progress that this club has made during this period."
The coach described the cooperation with Paul Fernie, the board and managing director Tom Eilers as being particularly trusting.
Head coach of the Lilies since 2024
Kohfeldt took over SV Darmstadt 98 in September 2024, when the team was in 17th place in the table. Since then, he has managed the South Hessian club in 67 competitive matches.
The Lilies are currently in fifth place in the table.
