Opening on May 8th with works from the twin town of Tielt
The town of Groß-Gerau invites you to an exhibition by the Belgian artist Marc Mortelé at the town museum. The opening will take place on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 6 p.m. at the Groß-Gerau town museum.
Exhibition on display until the end of May
The exhibition runs until Sunday, May 24, 2026. Visitors can view the works every Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Abstract art in focus
Marc Mortelé is known for his abstract-geometric or abstract-constructive style. His works deliberately avoid representational depictions and focus on the interplay of form, color, and composition.
His works incorporate elements of various art movements, including Cubism, lyrical abstraction and abstract expressionism, but combine them with a clear, constructive visual language.
International partnership as a foundation
The contact with the artist arose within the framework of the long-standing town twinning between Groß-Gerau and Tielt. This partnership has existed since 1959 and was later expanded to include other partner towns.
Among those expected to attend the opening is City Councillor Klaas Carette from Tielt.
Free admission to the opening
Admission to the exhibition opening is free.
