Contact point for vocational training, advice and qualification
The science city of Darmstadt and the Darmstadt employment agency have opened a central contact point for vocational education, advice and qualification at the M² location of the North Vocational School Center with the new education point.
The Education Center in Darmstadt offers individual consultations on all aspects of professional development and support for returning to work. Citizens also receive information on funding opportunities and financial assistance during their training programs. Companies benefit from targeted advice on employee development and securing skilled workers.
The Education Center is a collaboration between the Darmstadt Employment Agency and regional network partners who are pooling their resources to promote a sustainable continuing education culture in the region. The Education Center is supported by Hessencampus Darmstadt, the Darmstadt Adult Education Center, and the Darmstadt Chamber of Industry and Commerce. "The opening of the Education Center is a significant step toward making continuing education and lifelong learning accessible to all citizens in times of digitalization and skills shortages, and opening up new perspectives for them. The Education Center demonstrates how strongly we in Darmstadt rely on cooperation and innovative solutions to shape the future together and contribute to securing skilled workers in the region. The M² building offers an environment that optimally promotes learning and exchange. The combination of modern architecture and functional design creates an inspiring atmosphere for advising and continuing education," said Holger Klötzner, Head of Education.
“With the education point, we want to support people and companies alike on their way into the future and offer them tailor-made solutions,” explains Birgit Förster, Chairwoman of the Management Board of the Darmstadt Employment Agency.
