Opening on June 8th at the Hofgut Reinheim Gallery with Gudrun Cornford and Reiner Schlestein
Under the title "Glass Worlds," the gallery at Hofgut Reinheim will be showing fascinating works of glass Sunday, June 8th 11 a.m. with a private viewing, which will be attended by the two participating artists, Gudrun Cornford and Reiner Schlestein .

The exhibition focuses on glass – a material that speaks its own language of light and color. Whether subtle refractions, delicate lines of light, or luminous color contrasts in backlighting – glass unfolds its aesthetic power through transparency, reflection, and three-dimensionality.

Reiner Schlestein works as a glass artist with his own workshop, specializing in the experimental use of glass reliefs. Together with Gudrun Cornford, he also introduces architecture students to the complex world of glass design. This process begins with clay sketches and forms, which are later worked into negative molds using gypsum chamotte and fused with glass frit at 850 degrees Celsius. After cooling, the glass is exposed, then ground and finished.
Gudrun Cornford also engages intensively with the artistic dimension of glass. Her works reflect personal interpretations of this malleable, translucent material and open up her own creative "segments" within the theme.
The exhibition “Glass Worlds” combines craftsmanship and artistic reflection. It invites visitors to rediscover glass as a medium for spatial effect and expression.
