More than 35 exhibitors will present projects and ideas on September 5th – environmental diplomas will be awarded
Information, hands-on activities, regional organic food, and live music: On Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the "Go.BioFair – Market for Environment and Sustainability" will take place at Friedensplatz in Darmstadt. More than 35 initiatives, companies, associations, and institutions will present their projects and offerings related to environmental, climate, and sustainability issues.
The spectrum ranges from renewable energies and sustainable consumption to educational opportunities and nature conservation projects right on your doorstep. It's not just about providing information: numerous activities invite visitors to get involved and discover ideas for a more sustainable everyday life.
Interactive activities and program for children
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., activities will include an environmental rally, experimental stations, and creative workshops. There is also a separate program for children.
Food and drinks will be provided by vendors including Bella's Coffee Bike and Thilda's Ice Cream. Cakes and quiches will be offered by the BAFF Women's Cooperative.
The Go.BioFair will be officially opened at 11 a.m. by City Councillor and Head of Environmental Affairs Michael Kolmer. Kolmer will also present the environmental diplomas during the opening ceremony.
The Downtown BigBand will provide musical accompaniment, playing on Friedensplatz from 12 pm to 3 pm.
More than 35 players introduce themselves
Go.BioFair aims to bring together different aspects of environmental and climate protection in one place. The more than 35 participating stakeholders from business, science, and civil society will provide information about their work and demonstrate practical ways to get involved.
The market is organized by the environmental office of the city of Darmstadt and the Protestant deanery of Darmstadt. The organizers are supported by local partners from business, science, and civil society.
