From September 4th to 7th, Malchen will host a Kerwe parade, a family program, live music and a fire show
The Malch village fair will be celebrated from Friday, September 4th, to Monday, September 7th, 2026, around the community hall at Dieburger Straße 36. The Malch village community has put together a program for children and adults. Admission is free on all days.
Malcher Kerb starts with parade and Kerweredd
The festivities kick off on Friday at 5:30 p.m. with a church service in the Hessian dialect. Afterwards, the traditional fair parade, led by the "Dragon Drums" from Ober-Beerbach, will proceed through Malchen. At 7:00 p.m., the maypole will be erected at the community hall. Following the opening ceremony by Mayor Birgit Kannegießer and the tapping of the first keg of beer, the fair's patron saint, Ralf Sturm, and the bell ringer, Sascha Mroczek, will deliver the fair speech. Music will be provided by Eileen and Olli Färbert.
The festivities begin on Saturday at 2 p.m. with coffee and cake. From 2:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m., there will be a family festival with a children's rally. At the same time, a children's flea market (no registration required) and face painting will be available. At 5 p.m., "Mr. Kunterbunt" will perform in the atrium.
In the evening, the band The Burts hits from the 60s and 70s. At 9:30 p.m., the "Mystery Bells" will present a fire show. A free children's carousel and a bouncy castle will be available on Friday and Saturday.
The festivities conclude on Monday from 11 a.m. with the traditional Kerb closing ceremony in the courtyard of the Sturm family on Dieburger Straße.
