Police are looking for the owner of a stolen mountain bike
On Thursday morning (September 4), an unusual accident occurred in Groß-Gerau. At approximately 7:30 a.m., a 22-year-old cyclist collided with a stopped car at the intersection of Mainzer Straße and Frankfurter Straße. The cyclist sustained minor injuries, but the vehicle remained undamaged. The bicycle was no longer rideable after the collision.
A breathalyzer test revealed a blood alcohol level of 3.74 per mille for the cyclist. The man was temporarily arrested and had to submit to a blood sample.
Witnesses had previously observed the 22-year-old stealing the green and white Galano mountain bike from a courtyard on Mainzer Straße. The rightful owner has not yet been identified.
