The 26th edition will take place on October 4th in the market square – music, children's program and Sunday shopping complement the offerings
The 26th district farmers' market will take place on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the market square in Groß-Gerau. Vendors from the region will present, among other things, fruit and vegetables, flowers, honey, as well as meat and fish products.
The district farmers' market is organized by the Starkenburg Regional Farmers' Association and the Groß-Gerau District Rural Women's Association in cooperation with the city of Groß-Gerau, the local business association, and the district administration. A Sunday shopping event is also taking place in Groß-Gerau at the same time.

The traditional harvest festival service begins at 9:30 a.m. in the Groß-Gerau town church. At 11:00 a.m., District Administrator Thomas Will will open the district farmers' market in the market square.
The FC Germania 07 Leeheim marching band will provide musical entertainment from 12 pm to 2 pm. At 2 pm, the Hessenschnicker, the folk dance group of the rural women's association, will perform. From 3 pm to 5 pm, the TSG Worfelden brass band will play.
In addition to the sales stalls, various food and drinks are offered. The local women's association runs a cake stall in the city museum.
Program for children
For children, there are activities such as pony rides, farm animals, and duck fishing. From 2 p.m. onwards, the mobile play unit of the Auszeit association will also be on site.
The Groß-Gerau district is also represented with its own stand at the farmers' market. According to the district, District Administrator Thomas Will will be available there for discussions between 12 and 1 p.m.
