Kreisstadt starts cooperation with Easypark - more comfort for drivers
From now on, drivers can also pay their parking fees in the city center of Groß-Gerau digitally using a smartphone . The district town has been cooperating with the provider Easypark , an internationally active service provider for digital parking space management since the beginning of June 2025.
With the new service, parking becomes more comfortable and more flexible. Instead of going to the machine, the parking ticket can be easily loosened, extended or ended via the app - without a walk back to the vehicle. The Easypark app is available free of charge in all common app stores. Only a smartphone with a stored payment method is required.
"With the digital parking, we create a real added value for everyone who is traveling in our city center - whether for shopping, for completion or visiting gastronomy and events," explains Mayor Jörg Rüddenklau .
Control by license - no expression necessary
After parking, users choose the location in the app - via GPS or using a parking zone code on signs or machines. The control takes place digitally: employees of the field service scan the license plate and see in your control app whether a valid parking process is stored. An expression behind the windshield is no longer necessary.
For digital service, Easypark charges a low usage fee in addition to the regular parking fee. Alternatively, a monthly flat rate be booked. The urban parking fees themselves remain unchanged.
