Exhibition at Raum für Kunst Darmstadt from June 20, 2026
The exhibition “hello” will showcase the work of seven new members of the Darmstadt Secession at Raum für Kunst Darmstadt from June 20 to August 1, 2026. The show unites diverse artistic positions from painting, photography, sculpture, installation, performance, moving images, and works incorporating artificial intelligence and machine learning.
The exhibition space in Darmstadt's city center is conceived as a shared experiential space where individual forms of expression become visible, as do thematic connections between the works. Thematically, the artists explore questions of identity, perception, nature, society, and cultural belonging, among others.
Among the participants is Ankabuta, whose drawings and textile works address everyday observations and interpersonal experiences. Christine Biehler develops expansive installations and interventions that engage with architecture and social context. Florian Albrecht-Schoeck works with photography, photogrammetry, and AI-supported methods, exploring questions of origin and identity.
Jana Hartmann works at the intersection of art and science, exploring the relationship between nature and culture in long-term projects. Marita Damkröger presents large-format watercolors with multi-layered color spaces and transparent light effects. Michelle Concepción combines abstract painting with scientific questions and experimental material processes. Snežana Golubović develops performative works in which body, space, and imagination merge.
The opening reception will take place on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 7 p.m. A performance is planned to accompany the event, and the artists will be present.
