Summer holidays 2025 with creative camps, nature experiences and sports activities – funding possible via education package
With the start of the summer holidays on July 7, 2025, Darmstadt will once again offer a diverse holiday program for children and young people. The city of Darmstadt, a center of science and research, together with local associations, institutions, and organizations, offers numerous opportunities for active leisure activities – from creative workshops and nature camps to sporting events.
“Summer holidays are a particularly important time of year for children and young people,” emphasizes Mayor Barbara Akdeniz . “They offer opportunities for relaxation, new experiences, and shared adventures. Our holiday programs are designed to support this – regardless of social background.”

Holiday program with a wide range of topics
Highlights of the 2025 summer program include:
- the Forest Art Children's Camp of the Association for International Forest Art eV
- the summer holidays at the children's and youth farm
- the woodiversum Sunny Delight – Girls ONLY at Jugendhof Bessunger Forst
- the mountain bike children's holiday camp of the Velociped-Club 1899 Darmstadt eV
- the Acapella Week of the Children's and Youth Choirs Darmstadt-Wixhausen eV
All activities are supervised by experienced staff and are designed to combine play, fun and learning.
Participation for everyone – also with financial support
To enable as many children and young people as possible to participate, funding applied for through the Education and Participation Package (BUT).
