Full closure for two weeks – detours set up
DARMSTADT – Starting Monday, August 25, 2025, the Mobility and Civil Engineering Office of the City of Darmstadt resurfacing Maria-Goeppert-Straße. In addition to reinforcing the surface, the road markings will also be renewed. The construction work is expected to last two weeks and cost approximately €200,000 .
The affected section will be completely closed for the duration of the works. Detours are in place. Traffic disruptions and congestion are to be expected at the beginning of the project. The aim is to sustainably improve the road infrastructure and road safety.
Overview of detour regulations
- From the direction of B26/Griesheim via the Eifelring:
Access to Maria-Goeppert-Straße is closed, diversion via Dornheimer Weg. - From the direction of Michaelisstraße via the Eifelring:
At the intersection of Michaelisstraße/Dornheimer Weg, the detour towards the motorway takes place via Dornheimer Weg and Zweifalltorweg, continuing to Rheinstraße heading out of town towards the A5/A67. - From Rheinstraße via Maria-Goeppert-Straße:
The road is closed. Detour via Robert-Bosch-Straße, Zweifalltorweg and Dornheimer Weg.
