Free service for mothers with young children starts on October 22nd
A new meeting place for mothers with young children will be available in Gräfenhausen starting Thursday, October 22, 2026. The "International Mom Meet-Up" will take place every two weeks at the Protestant community center. Mothers with children aged zero to three years, as well as pregnant women, are invited. Participation is free.
The program aims to give mothers the opportunity to meet other women, make connections, and share experiences from everyday life with young children. Origin and language are irrelevant. A playroom with various toys is available for the children.
Exchange across linguistic and cultural boundaries
The new meeting place will be supervised by WIR guides Naila Javed and Salwa Al-Sari. The program is aimed at families from Weiterstadt and is designed to foster encounters between people from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
The “Mama-Treff International” is a joint initiative of the Protestant churches in Weiterstadt and Erzhausen as well as the WIR-Lotsen project of the city of Weiterstadt.
Registration is required to participate
The first meeting will take place on Thursday, October 22nd, from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. in the Protestant community center in Gräfenhausen, located at Darmstädter Landstraße 19. Subsequently, the meetings will be offered regularly every two weeks.
Participation is free of charge. However, prior registration is requested for planning purposes. This can be done via WhatsApp with Naila Javed at 0179 4347091 or by email to community educator Linda Dahmen at linda.dahmen@ekhn.de.
