Local History and Museum Association honors efforts in school path and paving work
The Nauheim Local History and Museum Association surprised the municipal building yard employees with barbecue food and drinks. The occasion was the landscaping of the area surrounding the local history museum and the restoration of the cobblestone path between the museum and the archive.
Of particular importance: The work affected the official school route of the Nauheim elementary school. To avoid compromising the safety of the children, the public works department deliberately scheduled the work during the summer holidays. The path from Waldstraße via the playground to the schoolyard will be reopened just in time for the start of school.
"We would like to thank the employees of the building yard for their commitment and craftsmanship. The paving work is a visible demonstration of the Nauheim building yard's expertise," emphasized Lothar Walbrecht, deputy chairman of the association.
Mayor Marc Friedrich also praised the collaboration: "The local history and museum association impressively showcases the history of our community. With the attractive design of the outdoor area, we are happy to support access to the museum." The association's gesture also underscores the close ties between municipal institutions and local associations.
