Tips for proper care from the Darmstadt Parks Department
The Parks and Green Spaces Department of the City of Darmstadt invites all gardening enthusiasts to rose pruning courses at Rosenhöhe. The courses will take place on Friday, March 14th, at 2:00 pm and on Saturday, March 15th, at 9:00 am, and each will last one and a half hours.
Practical knowledge for healthy roses
Participants learn under expert guidance how to properly prune to encourage abundant blooms. They also receive valuable tips on:
- Planting and care
- Fertilization and plant protection
- Avoid common mistakes when pruning roses
Registration and participation
- Participation fee: 10 euros per person (payable on site)
- Limited number of participants: Maximum 15 people per course
- Meeting point: Entrance of the Rosarium on Rosenhöhe
- Please bring: Your own rose shears and gloves
- Weather-dependent execution
Registration is required at the Darmstadt Green Spaces Office by phone: 06151 13-2900 (Mondays to Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Fridays from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.).
