KC Eiche offers a session for diversity, tolerance and open hearts
The Eiche Dance Sport and Carnival Club (KCE) from the Darmstadt Heimstättensiedlung is sending a very special signal in its 44th year of existence: During the KCE's recent New Year's reception with around 400 guests in the Eiche Hall on Kronstädter Weg, department chairman Jörn Biedenkapp announced a new, additional event format in the already extensive range of activities offered by the active Eiche carnivalists.
For the first time, on February 13, 2026 (Friday), Darmstadt will host a carnival session celebrating diversity, tolerance, and open hearts. "We want to create an event that celebrates carnival the way it should be: colorful, diverse, tolerant, and full of joy," Biedenkapp explains the new concept. "We are creating a space where every person, regardless of their origin, identity, or sexual orientation, is fully accepted at carnival – no matter what colors life has painted for them, where there are no distinctions, and where everyone simply celebrates," the KCE chairman continued.
“Clubs like the KCE are true centers of encounter; our KCE offers the space to celebrate together and connect; with us, integration is not only initiated but lived,” adds KCE session president Markus Mück, co-chairman of the sports association Eiche Darmstadt: “As a club, we take our responsibility seriously and want to not only be involved in shaping the future but also pioneer new paths.”.
“As KCE, we promote openness, tolerance, and respect – that’s what we want to make clear with our new event program,” emphasizes Women’s Session President Simone Mück: “We want to create a space where everyone feels at home, regardless of who they are. In doing so, we bring our motto to life: ‘We are one team.’”
Entertainer Woody Feldmann will host the carnival session. "With her unmistakable charm and special humor, Woody will not only guide us through this premiere evening, but also shape the atmosphere and make all our guests feel welcome and exactly where they belong," KCE Chairman Jörn Biedenkapp and his team are convinced.
