Amprion strengthens power line between Urberach and Weinheim / measures coordinated with the city and nature conservation authority
The transmission system operator Amprion has started in the Darmstadt districts of Arheilgen and Wixhausen with preparatory measures to modernize the electricity infrastructure. The work takes place in close coordination with the science city of Darmstadt and include the exchange of conductor ropes and isolators on the existing electricity pylons.
The measures are part of a larger infrastructure project on the 27 -kilometer line between Urberach and Griesheim . The aim is to increase the transmission performance of the electricity route in order to meet the increasing energy requirement in the region. The appearance of the masts in the affected section remains.
Expansion planned to 380 kilovolt
, a 220 kilovolt line is . While only the conductor ropes are reinforced in the area between Urberach and Griesheim, new masts are also intended :
- 23 new masts between Griesheim and Pfungstadt at 7.5 kilometers . An existing mast is replaced.
