Leo Clubs are the independent youth organizations of Lions Clubs. Operating worldwide, there are over 200 clubs in Germany alone with approximately 3,000 members. Young adults between the ages of 16 and 31 volunteer there to support people in need—from children and the homeless to disaster victims.
On Saturday, September 13, 2025, the Leo Club Darmstadt "Ludovicus," in cooperation with the Lions Clubs "Castrum" and "Louise Büchner," invites you to a charity tennis tournament . The tournament will be played at the Darmstadt TSG 1846 eV facility. The event replaces the previously annual charity golf tournament organized by the two Lions Clubs.
Up to 80 participants are expected, competing in doubles teams that are drawn regularly. The sporting part will be complemented by an evening event at the club restaurant "EnWoog." The program includes a buffet on the terrace, the awards ceremony, and an after-party with DJs from Label.31 . Guests not participating in the tournament are also welcome.
Proceeds from entry fees, raffle tickets, and cocktail sales at the after-party will benefit the "Aus der Not Darmstadt eV" . This young organization supports people in difficult life situations with unbureaucratic assistance – from supply runs in the city center to advice on dealing with government agencies and even finding housing. Despite its short history, "Aus der Not Darmstadt eV" has already permanently taken several people off the streets – partly through the personal investment of the founders' private funds.
