City of Darmstadt gives all-clear for blue-green algae levels
the Science City of Darmstadt , the water quality at the Prinz von Hessen mine has improved significantly. Current measurements show that cyanobacteria levels are now outside the official warning levels. This means unrestricted use is once again possible without any special precautions.
Parks and Recreation Department Director Michael Kolmer emphasized: "This positive development is a success for all of us. Last year, together with experts, we initiated various measures to contain the spread of cyanobacteria. In addition to the weather conditions, these efforts are now beginning to bear fruit."
Kolmer thanked everyone involved, as well as the public, for their cooperation and patience. "With their commitment, everyone has contributed to making the Prinz von Hessen mine fully usable again," the department head said.
Water quality will continue to be monitored regularly to ensure the positive development continues. Furthermore, the measures implemented will be continuously reviewed and adjusted as needed.
