Renovation completed
The redesign work in the front and rear sections of the cemetery in Reinheim has now been completed.
In the front section, there are now new areas for urn burials, anonymous urn burials, and for stillborn children. The area for anonymous urn burials was newly created because the previous one was located quite far to the edge of the cemetery, and the idea is to better integrate the anonymous graves.
A key aspect of the cemetery's redesign was the creation of a section for stillborn children. This provides bereaved families with a dedicated space for mourning. Furthermore, the rear section of the Reinheim cemetery now features an area where graves can be established, with the maintenance of these graves undertaken by the town of Reinheim.
The redesign is complemented by an area where meadow and tree burial sites create a park-like atmosphere. Mayor Manuel Feick: "Through the redesign, and especially the creation of the park-like area, the Reinheim cemetery offers relatives a different and dignified setting to be close to the deceased."
