Citizens can ask questions of politicians and the city council
A public question period will take place again on Thursday from 7 pm before the next city council meeting in Griesheim.
Questions can also be asked in advance via email
Citizens have 15 minutes to ask questions of the political groups or the city council.
The new city council chairman, Sebastian Schecker, points out that questions can be submitted in advance in writing or by email to hauptamt@griesheim.de .
This gives parliamentary groups and the city council the opportunity to prepare for specific topics before the meeting and to respond more effectively.
Questions can still be asked spontaneously
As before, questions can also be asked directly on site. However, according to the city administration, it may happen that not all questions can be answered completely immediately.
Furthermore, the city requests that only one question per person be asked, if possible.
Changes to the agenda
Following the public question period, the city council meeting begins. In future, the item "Questions and suggestions to the city council" will be addressed as agenda item four.
This allows the political groups to address questions to the mayor, as the representative of the city council, at an early stage.
