The art project “Fractales” grows during the exhibition “Under the Skin. Tattoos in Focus”
Due to high demand, the Opelvillen Rüsselsheim are offering additional photo shoot appointments with photographer and artist Sandra Mann. After the initial appointments quickly sold out, those interested can now have their portraits taken on July 31, August 20, and August 28 as part of the exhibition "Under the Skin: Tattoos in Focus .
Sandra Mann, recipient of the Goethe Plaque from the city of Frankfurt, is photographing people with and without tattoos for the project. The photographs are being taken directly within the current exhibition at the Opelvillen.
Portraits become part of the installation
For the exhibition, Sandra Mann developed the site-specific installation "Fractalities" . The artwork changes and expands with each photo shoot: the initially two-dimensional portraits subsequently become three-dimensional sculptures, which are integrated into the ongoing presentation.
This makes the participants themselves part of a growing art project that continuously evolves throughout the exhibition.
