Information booth at the Darmstadt recycling center on October 7th and 14th – nationwide campaign weeks start on October 5th
The municipal services department of the city of Darmstadt (EAD) is participating in the nationwide campaign "Every plug counts! Germany collects e-waste". At the recycling center on Sensfelderweg, the EAD will be providing information on the proper disposal of old electrical appliances on two dates.
The campaign weeks will take place from October 5th to 18th, 2026. The EAD will be present with an information stand at the recycling center on Wednesday, October 7th, and Wednesday, October 14th, from 1 pm to 4 pm.
How to properly dispose of old electrical appliances
Old electrical appliances contain raw materials that can be recovered and reused if disposed of properly. This campaign aims to raise awareness about the importance of not disposing of used electrical appliances with household waste, but rather taking them to designated collection points.
This includes items such as old cell phones, electric razors, and cables. Those interested can find out about disposal options at the information stand.
Promotional weeks: October 5th to 18th, 2026
EAD information stand: October 7th and 14th, 1 pm to 4 pm
Location: Darmstadt recycling center, Sensfelderweg 33
Further information about the campaign weeks and an overview of the return points can be found on the website of the e-waste campaign weeks.
