Hiking, city tours and archive visit planned
The science city of Darmstadt will again offer several events for senior citizens in June 2026.
Beer garden hike to the old forester's lodge Kalkofen
On Wednesday, June 10th, a beer garden hike to the Altes Forsthaus Kalkofen is on the agenda.
The meeting point is at 4 p.m. in front of the house at Jägertorstraße 155. The event will last approximately three hours. Registration is possible until Friday, May 22nd.
State archives display documents on “Fake News in Darmstadt”
The Hessian State Archives in Darmstadt will present historical documents on the topic of “Fake News in Darmstadt” on Thursday, June 11th, at 3 pm.
The meeting point is in the foyer of the State Archives at Karolinenplatz 3. The event lasts approximately one and a half hours. The registration deadline is also Friday, May 22nd.
Guided tour of the Kranichstein district
A guided tour of the Darmstadt-Kranichstein district will begin at 2 pm on Tuesday, June 16th.
The meeting point is in front of the Luise Büchner House at Mirjam-Pressler-Straße 10. The tour lasts approximately one and a half hours. Registration is possible until Friday, May 29th.
The village museum and church in Wixhausen open their doors
On Tuesday, June 23, a visit to the village museum and the church in Darmstadt-Wixhausen will follow.
The meeting point is at 2 p.m. in front of the Wixhausen Village Museum. Afterwards, there will be coffee, cake, and stories about the two buildings. The event will last approximately three hours.
Registrations for this are possible from May 26th to June 5th.
Participation is free of charge
All events are aimed at citizens aged 65 and over who reside in Darmstadt and are free of charge unless otherwise stated.
