As part of its solar energy campaign, the Groß-Gerau district the public to an on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 , at 6 p.m. in the Georg Büchner Hall of the Groß-Gerau District Office . The event is being organized by the Climate Protection Department .
The focus is on how buildings – whether single-family homes or apartment buildings – can be efficiently supplied with solar power . The event is aimed at all interested citizens, especially homeowners, tenants, and homeowners' associations.

Another focus is on community-based photovoltaic solutions : Philipp Humburg from the Kassel Climate and Energy Efficiency Agency presents an innovative model for shared building energy supply with solar power . This allows tenants and homeowners' associations to also benefit from affordable solar power. The goal is to make renewable energy more widely available and reduce energy costs .

In addition, the district administration offers free on-site PV energy consultations every Tuesday .
