Make new acquaintances quickly and easily
With a speed-dating event for senior citizens, the municipal senior citizens' program in Seeheim-Jugenheim aims to help older people make new contacts and combat loneliness. The event will take place on Thursday, July 16, at 6 p.m. on the stage in the Forum at the town hall, located at Schulstraße 18.
Following the principle of speed dating, participants have only a few minutes to talk to each other. Afterwards, they switch partners. This makes it easy to make new acquaintances and discover shared interests.
“Friendships and social contacts are indispensable in our lives,” says initiator Sigrid Seidel from the senior citizens' advisory board. “Unfortunately, our contacts change as we age. We lose partners and friends, so many people feel alone or lonely.”
