Libraries in all five districts will remain closed for three weeks during the summer holidays
The Riedstadt municipal library will be closed for a three-week summer break. Anyone wishing to stock up on reading material, audiobooks, or other media should take advantage of the last few days the library is open before closing.
The last opportunity to borrow the items is in Goddelau on Tuesday, June 30th, from 5 pm to 7 pm and in Erfelden on Wednesday, July 1st, from 4 pm to 6 pm.
In the other districts, the libraries will open for the last time on Thursday, July 2nd: in Leeheim and Crumstadt from 4 pm to 6 pm, and in Wolfskehlen from 10 am to 12 pm. The library in Goddelau will be closed on that day.
Reopening at the end of July
After the summer break, the branch libraries will resume operations on Monday, July 27th. The Erfelden library will be open from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., and the Goddelau library from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
From Tuesday, July 28th, the remaining locations will also reopen. Opening hours in Crumstadt and Leeheim are from 10 am to 12 pm, and in Wolfskehlen from 4 pm to 6 pm.
Digital lending is also possible during the closure period
Those who don't want to go without reading material during the holidays can continue to use the digital lending service. The Riedstadt Municipal Library is a member of the Hessian eLibrary network and offers its users free access to the online lending service.
The platform allows users to borrow ebooks, digital magazines, audiobooks, and other media around the clock. A valid library card, issued at all branch libraries, is required.
The digital service can be accessed at the Onleihe Hessen website.
