Young people from Riedstadt and Gernsheim explored eastern France
Riedstadt/Gernsheim. Twenty-two teenagers from Riedstadt and Gernsheim enjoyed a diverse leisure time in Alsace and the Vosges Mountains at the end of their summer holidays. The trip was organized by the Riedstadt Youth Office in cooperation with the Auszeit association and the Gernsheim Youth Welfare Office.
The starting point was a Scout lodge in the village of La Vancell, which, with its excellent facilities, offered ideal conditions for exploring the region. The program included a canoe trip on the River Ill with a swimming stop and a waterfall, campfire evenings, a trip to the swimming lake, and shopping at the large Cora supermarket.
Other highlights included trips to the towns of Riquewihr, Colmar, and Strasbourg, a visit to a monkey mountain, the popular "Werewolf" game, and a hike. In addition to the activities, there was also time for relaxation.
The Riedstadt Youth Office is planning another adventure camp for teenagers at the end of the summer holidays in 2026.
