Climate initiative “Kliwe” offers flexible storage solution with zero feed-in in cooperation with REG eV
The Weiterstadt Climate Initiative (Kliwe), in cooperation with the Roßdorf Energy Community (REG eV), a new collective order for plug-in solar devices – for the first time also with universal battery storage . This offer is aimed at Weiterstadt residents who want to make their own power supply more efficient.
In collaboration with a regional supplier from Griesheim, all ordered solar devices can now be equipped with a "Venus A" storage unit from the manufacturer Marstek . The storage unit has a capacity of 2.12 kilowatt hours (kWh) and can be used with both new and existing plug-in solar devices.
Easy installation and intelligent energy distribution
A special feature of the new devices is the included EcoTracker system , which zero feed-in . The generated solar power is used exclusively for the user's own consumption—excess energy does not flow into the public grid. The system is easily connected via the optical interface of modern electricity meters (mME) and can be installed without the need for a qualified electrician
"With the new storage solution, citizens can cover their electricity needs even more specifically and maximize their self-consumption," says the climate initiative. The system automatically detects current electricity demand and feeds in self-generated electricity as needed – up to the permitted limit of 800 watts .
Versatile storage with emergency power function
The new Marstek Venus A is a hybrid storage system . In addition to integration into existing solar systems, it can also operated independently – for example, to of dynamic electricity tariffs or to provide short-term energy during power outages. An emergency power outlet delivers up to 1200 watts of power , which allows for approximately two hours of power supply when fully charged.
The device features an integrated inverter for up to 600 Wp PV modules touchscreen with an intuitive user interface . No internet or cloud connection is required.
The storage devices are scheduled to be available from the beginning of November 2025. Interested citizens can register for a free consultation with the Weiterstadt Climate Initiative:
