Exchange with President of the Landtag Wallmann and women's policy speakers of all factions
At the initiative of the Riedstadt women and equal opportunities officer Jennifer Muth , twelve women from Riedstadt took part in a seminar " Women in the Landtag " in the Hessian state parliament in Wiesbaden. The aim was to get an insight into the political work and the role of women in parliament. The seminar was organized by the Office for Citizens' Women's Work ("Office F") in cooperation with the state parliament .

In the plenary hall, the participants initially pursued a state parliament debate on the subject of climate protection . In doing so, they not only showed themselves interested in the content, but also irritated by the partly rough tone among deputies. The subsequent conversation with President of the Landtag Astrid Wallmann spoke, among other things, about the newly introduced catalog of fines against degrading statements Wallmann emphasized how unfortunate it was that such a catalog had become necessary at all.
After a lunch together in the state parliament, the Riedstadt residents met the women's policy speakers of all factions . The discussions dealt with topics such as compatibility of family and politics , personal motives for political commitment, but also strategic approaches to increase the proportion of women in political committees . There was agreement on cross -faction topics such as strengthening women's health .
"The day liked the day. There were impressive experiences and an exciting exchange with the politically acting people. Some participants made the rough tone in parliament," said Jennifer Muth , women's and equality officer of the city of Riedstadt.
