New system for children aged two and up complements popular MiniLÜK
The Griesheim city library has expanded its range of educational games: In addition to the popular "MiniLÜK" for children aged approximately five to eight, "BambinoLÜK" is now also available for loan. This new system is aimed at children from the age of two and is designed to playfully promote concentration, logical thinking, motor skills, and language development.
LÜK stands for "Learning, Practicing, Checking" and has been an established educational game for decades. It consists of workbooks and a control box in which a solution pattern is created by arranging tiles. The city library currently holds almost 30 workbooks and two control boxes for MiniLÜK – the circulation rate is over 80 percent.
The principle behind BambinoLÜK is similar to that of MiniLÜK, but it uses symbolic images and only six instead of twelve check boxes. Topics range from initial explorations of numbers and letters to exercises for improving concentration. The city library is pleased to offer this new program, developed at the suggestion of its patrons, providing another popular tool for playful learning.
