The pianist and alto saxophonist dedicates himself to well-known classics and melodic jazz
Jazz musician Chris Hopkins presents a program entitled "Jazz from Gershwin to Ellington." Born in Princeton, New Jersey, in 1972, Hopkins performs on both piano and alto saxophone, blending classic jazz with his own arrangements and a contemporary interpretation.
Hopkins is active internationally as a pianist, alto saxophonist, composer, arranger, and bandleader. He also gives workshops and teaches at universities. For several decades, he has been involved with melodic jazz and its further development.

In his programs, Chris Hopkins draws on the tradition of jazz and translates it into his own arrangements. "Jazz from Gershwin to Ellington" already alludes in its title to two defining names in American jazz history.
