From September 1st, the service center will be closed for one hour at midday – visits on Mondays will still be possible with and without an appointment
The town hall office of Groß-Gerau will adjust its opening hours starting Tuesday, September 1, 2026. The change affects Mondays: The service center at Elisabethenstraße 18 will now be open Mondays from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The town hall office will be closed between 12 p.m. and 1 p.m.
Previously, the office was open continuously from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Mondays. According to the city, internal reasons are responsible for the change. Visits are still possible on Mondays, both with and without a prior appointment.
Overview of the city office opening hours
Therefore, the following opening hours will apply from September 1st:
- Monday: 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. – with and without an appointment
- Tuesday: 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. – by appointment only
- Wednesday: 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. – with and without an appointment
- Thursday: 1:30 pm to 6 pm – no appointment necessary
- Friday: 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. – by appointment only
The opening hours from Tuesday to Friday remain unchanged.
From identity card to registration certificate
At the city office, citizens can, among other things, register, deregister, and change their address, as well as apply for identity cards and passports. Services also include the authentication of documents and signatures and the issuance of registration certificates.
