The municipality invites senior citizens to two lectures on internet security
With two free information events, the municipality of Nauheim would like to support senior citizens in particular in navigating the internet safely and recognizing fraud attempts early on.
Under the title "Recognizing Cybercrime and Acting Responsibly," an expert speaker will explain in a clear and practical way how criminals operate online and what simple measures users can take to effectively protect themselves. The presentations are aimed at both beginners and experienced internet users.
The events will take place in the Nauheim community hall (Am Sportfeld 1a). Registration is not required, but seating is limited. Both events will follow the meeting of the Senior Citizens' Commission.
The dates at a glance:
- Tuesday, September 29, 2026, 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM (Module I)
- Wednesday, November 18, 2026, 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM (Module II)
The two modules build on each other in terms of content, but can also be attended independently.
The program includes topics such as cybercrime, malware, phishing, safe internet browsing, password security, identity theft, data protection on mobile devices, and secure online shopping and banking. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussion with the speaker.
With this series of events, the municipality of Nauheim aims to raise awareness of digital dangers and promote greater safety when using the internet and digital services.
