Peter Schöffer Project Theatre presents a staged reading on November 9th.
Gernsheim. The Peter Schöffer Project Theatre invites to a staged reading of Mark Twain's "The Diary of Adam and Eve" Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at the Peter Schöffer School . The entertaining production tells the story of the world's oldest relationship drama – the encounter between man and woman in paradise – with plenty of wit, irony, and charm.
When Eve suddenly appears in the Garden of Eden, Adam's peaceful existence comes to an end. She brings order, energy – and confusion – to his world. Amidst misunderstandings, petty squabbles, and growing affection, a humorous story unfolds about the coexistence of the sexes, one that even survives the expulsion from paradise.
Mark Twain, master of satire and keen observer of human foibles, illuminates the timeless theme of love with both humor and depth in this early "relationship diary." Readers learn "what really happened in paradise"—whether Adam still has all his ribs, why fish might need a bed, and why Eve always discovers more than he does.

The main roles are played by Ingeborg Eisenberger and Jorgi Slimistinos
Advance ticket sales begin on September 25, 2025, via Ticket Regional and at the box office . A sparkling bonus: Enjoy the experience even more with a glass of sparkling wine and the right company.
