Charity bike tour stops at the "Finestre" restaurant – celebrities cycle for a good cause
The town of Weiterstadt will become a stage location for one of Germany's most important charity bike tours on , August 9, 2025: The "Tour of Hope" from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. stop at Brunnenweg 9 restaurant "Finestre"Saturday
The tour, in which around 180 cyclists participate, raises funds to support children and young people with cancer. Since its founding in 1983, it has gained supra-regional recognition and uses the proceeds to support, among other things, children's hospitals, hospices and research projects.
The tour is accompanied by numerous prominent supporters, including:
- Heike Hofmann, Hessian Minister for Social Affairs
- Kathrin Boron, four-time Olympic champion in rowing
- Andreas Hieke, TV journalist (Hessenschau)
- Yemesi Ogunleye, 2024 Olympic shot put champion
- Klaus-Peter Thaler, multiple cycling world champion
- Prof. Dr. Klaus Steinbach, sports official and former NOC President
- Britta Unsleber, former national football player
- Nicole Reinhardt, Olympic champion and world champion in canoe racing
- Nicole Wingenfeld (Faust), World Rowing Champion
- Sebastian Rode, professional footballer and European Cup winner
Mayor Ralf Möller emphasizes the importance of the visit:
