On November 10th, the commemoration of the Kristallnacht pogrom of 1938 will take place at the Modau Bridge.
The Ecumenical Working Group Eberstadt invites you to a vigil in Eberstadt on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 6 p.m. At the Modau Bridge, participants will commemorate the former Eberstadt synagogue, which was destroyed by fire on November 10, 1938.
District Administrator Lutz Achenbach will give a speech and lay a wreath. Afterwards, Pastor Jonas Bauer will lead a reflection. Karin Lübbe will accompany the commemoration on the saxophone. A 3D model of the destroyed synagogue is also on display.
