The complete exhibition and "BluePause" invite you to discover
With the exhibition "Blue is also colorful," BehindART 29 presents its annual exhibition at the darmstadtium . On display are paintings and sculptures by artists with and without support needs, created in art groups, workshops, studios, or in their own homes.
Art without borders
The exhibition represents the diversity of artistic expression and the freedom that art can offer. Unlike thematically focused exhibitions, there are no content restrictions. This allows for the creation of highly personal works that reflect the thoughts, experiences, and perspectives of their artists and encourage reflection.
In parallel, the curated exhibition "BluePause" is dedicated to the color blue. It runs like a blue thread through the works on display and represents vastness, tranquility, and depth, sky and sea, but also longing, imagination, and conscious contemplation. The exhibition invites visitors to immerse themselves in their own visual worlds, to allow dreams to surface, and to escape the hectic pace of everyday life for a moment – in the true spirit of "taking a break" as a creative pause.
Both exhibition formats share the freedom of art – the opportunity to discover new things, to push boundaries and to give space to creative impulses.
Opening on July 14th
The opening reception will take place on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 7 p.m. at the darmstadtium (Schlossgrabenstraße 1, Darmstadt).
