Five bookstores are participating in the nationwide campaign week from October 31st to November 7th with a joint walk
For the first time, Darmstadt's independent bookstores (DUBs) are organizing a joint book stroll as part of "Independent Bookstore Week." During a walk through Darmstadt, participants can visit five bookstores, browse their offerings, and discover personalized book recommendations. The nationwide event takes place from October 31 to November 7, 2026.
Books.A Stroll takes you through five Darmstadt bookstores
The book walk begins at 2 p.m. at the Bessungen bookstore. From there, the group stroll leads to four other independent bookstores in Darmstadt. At each stop, participants will receive a short introduction, learn about a favorite book from that particular bookstore, and can look forward to a small surprise. There will also be time to browse and discover new books.
At the beginning, specially designed bags from the Darmstadt studio Tigerblau will be distributed, which can be filled at the various stations during the tour.
