Musicians helping children support Darmstadt Institute outpatient clinic
Rock music for a good cause: The association "Musicians Help Children e.V." is holding its annual benefit concert "Charity for Kids" on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Bessunger Knabenschule in Darmstadt. The proceeds from the event will benefit the outpatient clinic for abused children.
The concert begins at 8 pm, doors open at 7 pm. The venue is the Bessunger Knabenschule at Ludwigshöhstraße 42.
Support for children in difficult life situations
The outpatient clinic for abused children was founded on July 1, 2019. The initiative came from Detective Chief Inspector Sarah Kexel of the South Hesse Police Headquarters.
The organization provides support in cases of suspected physical, psychological, or sexual abuse, as well as child neglect. Since the outpatient services receive only limited funding, according to the organizers, additional donations are crucial for the organization's work.
Frank Bülow opens the concert evening
The benefit concert will kick off with a performance by Darmstadt-based singer-songwriter Frank Bülow. Accompanied by acoustic guitar and vocals, he will present some of his best-known songs, setting the tone for the rest of the evening.
In the 1990s, Bülow wrote hits for well-known acts such as Culture Beat and ATC. Among his biggest successes is the song "Rendezvous," which was one of the most played songs on German radio in 1998. He also toured Europe as a guitarist and backing vocalist with Culture Beat and, in 2003, performed with his own band as the opening act for Elton John at the Böllenfalltor Stadium.
Rock classics with Petting Only
Next up is the band Petting Only. This group specializes in female-fronted rock covers and presents a wide repertoire ranging from soulful rock ballads to hard rock classics.
With their many years of live experience, powerful guitar riffs and energetic performances, the band regularly delights concertgoers.
Raffle and surprises planned
In addition to the musical program, guests can look forward to further surprises this year. The popular raffle, the proceeds of which will also go to charity, is once again a regular feature of the event.
Tickets available in advance
Tickets for the benefit concert cost €18 in advance. Tickets at the door cost €20.
With the concert, the organizers not only want to offer an entertaining evening, but also draw attention to the important issue of child protection and support the work of the institute's outpatient clinic.
