The Segensreich Foundation invites you to a theater reading at “Hallo Luther” on Reformation Day.
Christian Klischat will present a theatrical reading of Mary Shelley's "Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus" on Saturday, October 31, as part of this year's "Hello Luther" event in Nieder-Ramstadt. The Segensreich Foundation invites everyone to attend at 7 p.m. The motto "Hello Luther" has been a part of the local church's Reformation Day celebrations for many years.
Shelley's novel, published in 1818, tells the story of Victor Frankenstein, who uses natural science to create life and thus aspires to be like God. The central themes are the relationship between creator and creation, and the consequences of human hubris. The subtitle alludes to the mythological figure Prometheus.
During the reading, Klischat will slip into the various roles of the novel. Afterwards, the foundation invites everyone to a get-together with wine, non-alcoholic drinks, and snacks.
Admission: free; donations in support of the Segensreich Foundation are requested.
