Work will begin on November 2nd – affected sections will be temporarily closed
In Seeheim-Jugenheim, ten heavily used and particularly damaged sections of path will be renovated starting November 2nd. These include the cycle path along the tram line between Seeheim, Jugenheim and Alsbach-Hähnlein, as well as a section of the cycle path above the Seeheim fire station in the direction of Jugenheim.
Some paths are showing significant damage. In the "Mundklingen" area, for example, heavy rain is now washing gravel down the slope.
During the renovation, the existing road surface is first loosened, mixed with new material, and then replaced. The following day, the surface is lightly torn up again and compacted with water and a natural binding agent.
The surfaces then need to cure for 96 hours. The affected sections will be completely closed off for the work and curing period. Appropriate signage will indicate the closures.
