40 soup donations and around 350 guests on German Unity Day
At the fourth annual "Unity Soup" event in Jugenheim, 40 soup cooks offered their favorite soups for tasting – more than ever before. Around 350 guests came to the park of the Protestant community center on Lindenstrasse on October 3rd, enjoying sunny early autumn weather.
The Protestant parish of Jugenheim and the municipality of Seeheim-Jugenheim would like to bring people of different origins together at the same table and into conversation with each other through this event.
In addition to the soups, there were cakes from the "Delicious Cake Party," an initiative of primary school children from the Bergstraße school complex. The bands Jacuzzi and Ministry of Jump provided the music. Even after the soups and cakes were finished, many guests stayed to listen and chat.
